We’re looking for a commercially driven Senior Associate – Quantity Surveyor to join our Auckland team and play a key role in growing our Quantity Surveying service line.
This is a senior, client-facing role where you’ll lead and deliver quantity surveying services on a diverse range of private and public sector projects, including residential, education, insurance, remedial, and infrastructure work, while also supporting business development and strengthening client relationships.
You’ll report directly to the Associate Director - Quantity Surveying working closely to grow the service offering and expand our client base.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary and supportive team, your key responsibilities include:
Leading and delivering quantity surveying services across a diverse project portfolio
Supporting business development, including identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and securing new work
Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
Preparing and reviewing estimates, cost plans, and tender documentation
Providing advice on project risks, variations, and cost impacts
Mentoring and supporting team members while contributing directly to project delivery.
What you will bring to the team:
Proven ability to win work, retain clients, and deliver high-quality services within a consultancy environment
Extensive QS experience, including leading and delivering projects across a range of sectors (ideally 15+ years)
Demonstrated ability to operate with a high level of autonomy, including managing client relationships and delivering projects with minimal oversight
Strong project experience, with remedial works and insurance experience an advantage
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide clear, practical cost and risk advice
Minimum 5+ years’ experience working within a New Zealand based QS Consultancy or similar.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and project teams
Proven ability to guide and support team members while maintaining high standards of delivery
Relevant construction qualification and professional membership (NZIQS, RICS or equivalent).
