Key Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa matua
Project manage electrical and control systems for New Plymouth, South Taranaki and Stratford District Councils. Involves providing detailed design, scope of works and advising Project Managers on appropriate equipment.
Electrical and instrumentation consulting with NPDC Project Managers on electrical design processes; safety in design, risk analysis, attendance in HAZOP meetings, specifying equipment. Responsible for root cause analysis, 5Why and failure mode evaluation analysis.
Program using software for automation, supervision & control and alarming management equipment.
Knowledgeable in EIC best practice maintenance procedures and fault finding.
Primarily responsible for reactive maintenance and support.
Commissioning of pump stations and water and wastewater equipment.
Responsible for backup power supply eg. generators UPS and ATS in CC, WW, WTP, STDC
Electrical drawing design.
Auditing JSEA’s and PTW’s for contract electricians/instrumentation techs.
Provide and input of as-built information for asset data collection.
Liaise with SCADA Engineer.
Collaboration with E and CS Lead to enable better technical decision making.
Technical support to other Wai Hononga Water Services teams and Council CCO’s.
Essential Skills and Experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
Electrical Registration as defined by the Electricity Regulations 2007, or NZCE Electrical/Instrumentation.
Expertise in instrumentation, electrical and automated process control systems.
Full clean driver’s licence.
