We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead our Northland region, overseeing the successful delivery and growth of the region.
This is a leadership role responsible for operational performance, safety, financial outcomes, client relationships, and team development across a diverse portfolio of projects and maintenance contracts. Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a key role in driving business performance while ensuring exceptional service delivery for our customers.
About the Role
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and strategic management of regional operations. You will ensure projects and contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget while fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all operational activities across the Industrial, Coatings, and Infrastructure service lines.
Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Oversee project delivery, resource allocation, workforce planning, and operational performance.
Manage regional budgets, profitability, forecasting, and financial performance.
Identify and pursue growth opportunities within existing and new markets.
Lead, coach, and develop operational teams, supervisors, and project managers.
Monitor key performance indicators and implement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Support tender preparation, contract negotiations, and business development activities.
Ensure operational risks are identified and effectively managed.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Regional Manager, or Senior Project Management role.
Experience within industrial services, protective coatings, infrastructure, construction, maintenance, or related sectors would be highly desirable.
Demonstrated success managing multiple projects, contracts, and operational teams.
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability, and financial reporting.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
A commitment to health, safety, and operational excellence.
Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
Relevant trade, technical, engineering, or business qualifications are desirable.
