About the Role
The primary purpose of the role is to: provide leadership to delegated nursing and allied health staff employed by National Public Health Service, across the Counties Manukau district, to ensure that an innovative, effective and efficient service is provided to whānau and communities within the Counties Manukau district. To provide cover for the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) as requested.
As a Designated Senior Public Health Nurse role, this will enable and support health system transformation to achieve the aims of Te Pae Tata (Interim New Zealand Health Plan) and He Korowai Oranga: Māori Health Strategy which has now been enhanced through Pae Tu: Hauora Māori Strategy.
The role is an integral part of the senior nursing team, contributing to and supporting programmes of transformational change and service integration. This requires working collaboratively across the sector and organisational boundaries to influence the nursing contribution to better outcomes for our whānau and communities.

You will be joining a passionate and committed Public Health Nursing Team that is committed to serving whanau and tamariki in the communities we serve. We are dedicated and driven to achieve Pae Ora (healthy futures for all) by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
About you
As the Associate Clinical Nurse Manager, you will be an experienced Public Health Senior Registered Nurse with proven expert public health nursing knowledge and skills to support a team.
