Our Associate Geotechnical Engineer opportunity is ideal for someone ready to work on rewarding projects as a designer and delivery manager, and to work closely with our clients to understand their needs. You’ll work with medium to large engineering teams and provide technical expertise across a variety of infrastructure projects in transport, buildings, water, energy & power, and marine sectors. A key part of the role is to undertake local client relationship management and perform project management tasks, including commercial set-up and managing technical delivery, to best service our clients. You’ll shape geotechnical design strategies, team culture, oversee documentation to industry standards, work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary teams, and help deliver solutions that respond thoughtfully to client needs. A balance of in-office design technical leadership and onsite support to our teams/projects as required. You’ll also play a key role in strengthening connections with our clients and across our regional offices in NZ and Australia, supporting knowledge sharing and integrated project delivery—an essential part of how we work as one global Jacobs team.

Here's what you'll need
Relevant qualification (Tertiary Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology)
Experience in similar roles. Work experience in consulting environment (preferred)
