Tātaki Auckland Unlimited (TAU) is Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s cultural, events and destination agency. Through our work, we enrich Auckland's cultural life and vibrancy and deliver inspirational events, experiences and taonga (treasures), including Auckland Zoo.
Join our Marketing, Communications and Growth rōpū and help bring the Zoo's experiences to life. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you'll plan, deliver and optimise integrated marketing campaigns that grow audiences, increase engagement and support Auckland Zoo's mission to inspire people to care for wildlife and the environment.
Auckland Zoo reaches hundreds of thousands of people each year, encouraging visitors to connect with nature, protect wildlife and make a positive impact on the world around them. Committed to strengthening its relationship with Te Ao Māori through Ka whakawhenua, ka hua, you'll join an organisation where conservation, culture and community come together. From visitation and brand campaigns to working with creative and media agencies, you'll work across a diverse programme, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver meaningful marketing that makes a real difference.
Key responsibilities:
Plan, deliver and optimise integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, email and other marketing channels
Support the Zoo to deliver branded assets and maintain the brand visual ID
Coordinate marketing campaigns from planning through to execution, evaluation and reporting
Media planning and booking direct and with agency
Manage projects to deliver on time, on brand and on budget
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated marketing initiatives

He kōrero mōu: About you
You're a creative and motivated marketer early in your career, who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You're passionate about wildlife, conservation, education and creating meaningful experiences that connect people with nature. You bring strong marketing fundamentals, excellent communication skills and a genuine curiosity to learn and grow.
We welcome applications from those with strong lived experience in the use and application of te reo me ōna tikanga, alongside demonstrated experience of working with, and a strong understanding of, mana whenua and mātāwaka.
We're looking for someone with:
Experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns and communications
Strong copywriting skills for advertising channels
Project management capabilities
Confidence in learning new CRM systems, marketing platforms and digital tools
Excellent organisation, coordination and time management skills
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
