      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at wikiHow (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2024

      Interview

Reached out to a recruiter/project manager via email who recruits other Project Managers (more on this later). First, I had a 15-min resume screen call. Then, I had a behavioral test (15 min). Then, I had an excel sheet/free response type take-home test (1 hour). Then, I had the same type of test but had to complete it on a call, in front of the recruiter/project manager (1hr 30min). There wasn't much talking in this test, just me doing the questions on a google doc. I was rejected after this.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at wikiHow (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2025

      Interview

I received an email inviting me to a phone screening with the COO, which reflects the collaborative nature of wikiHow’s hiring process, likely due to the small size of the team. This setup means interviewees shouldn’t expect a typical hiring manager or recruiter to lead the process, but rather key team members directly involved in decision-making. The phone screening was scheduled to last 20–30 minutes, with the potential to advance to the next stages if successful. The next steps, as described, include completing a series of assessments and tests—such as Excel proficiency—and, if passed, additional interviews with other team members. During the phone screening, I was asked a total of five questions in this order: one about my personal background, two technical questions, one focused on personality, and a final follow-up addressing any concerns raised during the interview wrap-up.
