The whole process took about 40 days. There were 5 interview rounds in total, 3 of which turned out to be technical.
Communication from HR during the month-long interview process was quite slow. Questions about the next stages were sometimes answered with considerable delays and occasionally went unanswered. At times, it felt like I had to repeatedly follow up to get a response, which gave the impression that my concerns were not being given proper attention.
After my 5th and final interview, they reached out to tell me that they were downleveling me from a strong senior position (judging by the feedback from previous rounds and HR’s own words) to a mid-level position based on the last behavioral interview. In my opinion, I did not do badly enough to be downleveled like that. Especially considering great feedback from the previous rounds.
My point is: prepare for the behavioral interview. It’s not hard to prepare for at all. I didn’t, because it was not clearly communicated to me what the last round was going to be about. So I expected another technical round, not a behavioral one.
In the end, they made an offer for a mid-level position, which they withdrew after 2 days. Maybe because of the new crisis in the Middle East.
