I think the hiring process may have changed since I was hired in 2008. All I had to do was submit a resume and then take an editing test. Back then Demand was churning out content like crazy so they were desperate to hire as many copy editors as it could.

No interview was required when I got hired, but they did expect copy editors to have at least 5 years of experience and there seemed to be a preference for print publication experience.
