I applied online. I interviewed at invent.ai (Istanbul) in Jan 2026
Interview
I agree with previous feedbacks shared here and would like to add my own experience.
During the technical interview, the discussion focused less on my technical skills, live debugging, or problem-solving approach, and more on the circumstances surrounding the closure of my previous company and internal dynamics there. This felt only loosely related to evaluating my suitability for the role.
Additionally, the overall engagement level during the interview was quite low. This created the impression that the interview process may have been more procedural than exploratory, possibly conducted to support internal decision-making rather than to genuinely assess candidates.
The take-home assignment required a significant time investment, yet the evaluation criteria were not clearly defined. Feedback appeared subjective, and it was difficult to understand how decisions were made or what constituted success.
Overall, the process felt inefficient and lacked transparency. Candidates may want to carefully consider whether the time investment aligns with their expectations, especially given that there are many companies offering clearer, more structured, and more respectful hiring processes.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why my previous company shut down and what was happening internally, rather than focusing on role-related technical skills.
They sent me a case study to solve as the first interview round. I spent hours solving it with every requirement and nice-to-have features implemented. I sent it to them and they did not reply for nearly a month. I wrote to HR, they asked me to send it again, now it's been another month since that happened and they did not reply when I asked for an update.
