      Cloud Pre-Sales Engineer Interview

      3 Dec 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bristol, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at intY (Bristol, England) in Oct 2020

      Interview

I was approached for this role as the recruiter found my CV online, I was excited as Cloud is where I wanted to take my career. I had a successful telephone interview, was told they really liked me so got given a formal video interview over Teams (due to Covid), before this I had to do an IQ test and personality test. Once again I thought this went well and they advised me they had 2 more people to interview and then they would make a decision on 2 final candidates to meet the other Pre-Sales Engineer we'd be working with daily. They were very keen on having a family bond and getting on with everyone. Being passionate about learning was also big for them also, the recruiter gave me the impression it all went well. 1 week passed and I chased the recruiter as I was told I would be told I'd be shortlisted the week prior and the response was "I'm trying to get hold of the hiring manager but everything is still processing nothing to worry about". Another week passed of hearing nothing so I chased again, 3 weeks later I've still heard nothing... For a Microsoft Gold Partner and Microsoft CSP I found this incredibly unprofessional, even if I was unsuccessful it would have been good to know that to see what I could have improved on if i were to apply in the future for another role as it did seem a great place to work. Overall this process has gone on for longer than 2 months which was just a complete waste of my time.
