I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at first direct (Leeds, England) in Feb 2026
Interview
In stages, ask questions about your cv and then STAR questions followed by listening to customers and answering questions. They ask questions such as, tell us a time you’ve been under pressure or tell us about a time you’ve dealt with a difficult customer.
Negative experience
Easy interview
Application
I interviewed at first direct (Hamilton, Scotland)
Interview
Online (remote) lock down period/show Id.
Showed ID interviewer on the other end, asked me questions
as expected. Advised the job would be hybrid and if successful would receive email
I had applied for the position a while back and thought it was a good idea based on my own experience. However, I found that the interviewer at the second stage was slightly biased against hiring me as they had advised they were unsure about taking me on as I had done an Art degree even though on my CV most of the jobs I had done were customer service based
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked if I was genuinely wanting to be at the workplace or if it was a stepping stone
Laidback, casual, more like a conversation, very friendly staff and some scenario questions each linked to a different skill. They let you know the outcome of your interview there and then.
