Overall the interview process at dv01 can be deemed nothing but fair. Interview questions were both behavioral as well as technical, but the technical questions were not the stereotypical Leetcode questions you would expect from most other major tech companies. They are more concerned with your ability to deliver end to end software, and your overall expertise as an engineer. In my opinion the ability to regurgitate an optimal runtime solution you’ve seen on Leetcode before does not determine how good of a software engineer you are, and dv01 definitely shares this perspective. They judge you not only on your technical expertise, but also your personality, cultural fit, as well as experience. The interview process was a pleasure overall, and the employees hosting the interview sessions are all extremely knowledgable. You will not find yourself feeling like you got cheated out of an offer because you gave a sub-optimal runtime algorithm to a problem. If you demonstrate you are a well rounded software engineer, both in terms of technical skills as well as personal skills, dv01 is a company that will definitely pick up on that.
Furthermore, their recruitment process was pleasant mostly in part due to their recruiter Priscilla. She is extremely friendly and more than happy to answer any questions along the way. Part of the reason why I ended up following up with dv01 is mostly due to how engaging she was during the recruitment process.
In summary, if you are thinking of interviewing with dv01 I highly recommend it as you will be pleasantly surprised by how realistic the process is. You have to know your stuff for sure, but if you do it will be very apparent to the firm. The recruitment process overall is very well refined here, and those that do make it through tend to love it once they’re here.
