      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at bp (London, England) in Oct 2023

      Interview

Drawn out process (5 stages) and limited communication between. Got a bit confused at a point on if we were proceeding or not and this was simply because someone was off on holiday and hadn’t communicated. Also too many cooks in the pot between the external and internal recruitment teams.

Games assessment followed by hirevue. Very standard process. A week or two after games assessment then hirevue will be sent. Did not hear back after the hirevue. Some of my friends did not get hirevue after games asssessment

      Commercial Analyst Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      Hull, England
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at bp (Hull, England) in Feb 2016

      Interview

Online application > Situational judgement > Numerical reasoning > Phone (competency) interview > In-person technical interview. The stages up to the technical interview are relatively straight forward with the questions you would expect to face at any interview. I would strongly recommend that you have researched thoroughly the oil and gas industry prior to your technical interview (if necessary). Details of my interview stated that no prior knowledge of the oil and gas industry was required but it simply wasn't the case. With that being said, the interview was a great experience at every stage and the staff at BP are very friendly.

      Question 1

What do you think you'll enjoy least about the role? (competency)
