I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at bareMinerals (San Jose, CA) in Apr 2010
Interview
I came in for an interview expecting a group interview or a short 1:1 if anything. I believe I met with the Regional Manager and the assistant manager of the store. Very professional, courteous people. Super friendly and not once did they make me feel intimidated. I did a 20 min. interview with them and they went ahead and asked me if I could stay for the skills interview. They had me apply makeup on a model. A day, later transformed into night look. Somewhat difficult when you're not very familiar with the product but overall I think I did well. The whole interview process went on for about an hour and a half. I think because we ended up chatting rather than formally interviewing! They said they would interview more people and they'd definitely keep in touch with me by the end of the week. Looks like a great company to work for that cares about their employees but also is very very sales oriented.
I interviewed at bareMinerals (Sheffield, England)
Interview
Teams interview online. Then in store skills test, doing makeup on someone and then you have a store approval with store manager with an interview aswell and they ask just generic questions
Called and offered a position off of being a customer, and having a professional license. Very friendly and kind and professional. Looking forward to working with them! Holiday hours then possibly a key holder
