The manager taking on new employees was very intelligent and interesting, but there were SIX (6!!!!) rounds of interviews. Not one after the other, oh no, but 3,4, even 5 weeks apart. Absolutely crazy. First a screening, then a second screening with a manager, then a technical interview, afterwards a presentation, then two more wrap-up interviews. This is unnacceptable. I applied in December, then FINALLY got a notification that they were moving on to another candidate in April. Whoever designed this interview structure (not this deparment) has no concept of human business practices or intelligent time management.
