I have worked for ZESTRON since March 2014 and I would like to share my perspective. I joined the ZESTRON team after years of working for an insurance industry leader and commuting to the DC area headquarters. While I loved many things about my job in HR there, the commute was not sustainable. Finding employment with ZESTRON and buying a home in the Manassas area has been a great move both professionally and personally. Unlike many small companies, ZESTRON is an industry leader with opportunities and benefits that are competitive, if not better, than what you could expect to find at a large company. Furthermore, we have the small company feel and work closely as a team. There are no small fish here and every position on every level is critical to the success of our business.
As for the Manassas area, I am delighted to call this my home. There is an active community and downtown commerce has much to offer. George Mason's satellite campus is in Manassas as well as its gym, the Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center with the largest indoor natatorium in Northern Virginia. The school systems in the Manassas area are excellent and best of all. instead of dealing with DC traffic, it takes me 5 minutes to drive to work. In 2014, Manassas City was named one of the Safest Cities (communities) in Virginia by SafeWise.com and named #1 Top Small City in Virginia by Citiesjournal.com.
Although I cannot comment on the individual's interview experience described from September 2013, I should add that Todd Scheerer joined ZESTRON as Executive Vice President in January this year and as the Manassas site and Americas team leader he is personally involved in all job interviews and hiring decisions. Making sure we have a cohesive, committed, experienced, and qualified team is very important to Mr. Scheerer and ZESTRON.
