Interview
Initial call with the recruiter was very good who also was consistent throughout. Communication was good.
Took a long time to move from one stage to the other and receive feedback.
First stage was a nice chat and a very good conversation with the hiring manager as second stage. Feel that the people were welcoming.
Final stage is a group presentation that a lot of modern tech companies now do not do. Also had IT issues in the panel interview making it a little tricky.
Felt that the first 2 stages - screening and chat with hiring manager went well but final is a little daunting for present to 5 people across Skype. Also feel that this ‘committee decision’ is influenced from one person to another as well.
I would suggest to review this process if face to face interviewing is not happening right now and in general presenting to maybe 2 people at a maximum i.e Facebook, Google’s final stage process.
Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback on the interview process you recently went through with us. Feedback is always really important to us and we fully take onboard all your comments. I will be working closely with the hiring manager to address the issues/concerns you raised. Thank you again.

Phone Interview with HR: Standard questions, Company overview, Salary, Goals
On-site Interview with Head of Product and a peer Product Manager
The overall experience was not as good as expected from how the HR has spoken about the company. Specific things were their approach to interviews and talents as well as growth mindset. While it was claimed during the phone screening that YouView values talent, that it learns from mistakes and considers how to improve, focuses on the positive, the interview itself felt patronising.
Specific things were both interviewers pretending to be technical and asking several technical questions, not before admitted they had no technical knowledge whatsoever.
Giving me an angry look during the interview and when I did not have all the information about company shareholders.
Promising to get back to me the next day with an answer and instead never bothered to respond in any way.
