I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at YBM Sisa
Interview
A phone interview followed by an in-person interview. It wasn't difficult and is just trying to see if you are a good fit for the position. They probably have a slight preference for people with experience and/or are living in the country.

Typical interview questions
They usually want to know if your visa paperwork is ready
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at YBM Sisa (Daegu) in Dec 2012
Interview
Very straightforward. It's all behavioral. The interviewer just wants to make sure that you have a personality and will be able to relate to the students. There were also a few questions around my interest in going to Korea. Apparently, turnover is really high among the teachers in Korea, so employers want to be extra careful to screen for potential hires that will jet after a year or so.
