I applied online. I interviewed at Xactly Corp. in Feb 2022
Interview
I received an email asking that I take an assessment as the first step in the interview process. I don't dedicate time to antiquated assessments prior to having at least a few interviews to see if the job is a good fit. I replied that I was withdrawing myself as a candidate for the role.

Application
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Xactly Corp. (San Jose, CA) in Feb 2019
Interview
The interview process started much like everywhere else. I applied online, had a phone screen and then told I would talk to a hiring manager. Before scheduling a call with the hiring manager I was asked to take a mandatory assessment required by their PE firm (Vista Equity). I “passed” the test and the recruiter scheduled a meeting with the hiring manager. The call went well and was told that I should interview with some team members. I interviewed with two other team members and received positive reviews after each conversation.
I was then asked if I would fly from CA to Denver for the final interview at their SKO. They also asked for references as they would be moving very quickly after the final interview. I accepted their request and provided my references.
I flew into Denver early morning and took an Uber to the hotel where the SKO/interview was going on. After getting there I was taken to one of the banquet rooms and listened in on an hour or two of their SKO sessions. I was then walked out to the hotel lobby where they would conduct the interviews. I interviewed with 5 people from the team (2 of which I already interviewed with). After the 4 hours of interviewing I had to hurry back to make my flight home. I left Denver enthusiastic and sent out individual thank you emails to everyone I spoke with.
The following week I heard nothing. I reached out twice to get some updates and was told they were still waiting to sync. Finally I got an email that said the standard “we’ve decided to move forward with another candidate”. I was shocked and disappointed but also wanted some feedback so I asked if there was any. I was told that “unfortunately there was no feedback”. After almost 10 hours of interviewing and 7 hours of personal travel to give zero feedback is just unacceptable and completely disrespectful to any candidate.
I guess I expected more out of a company under the Vista umbrella but I have never experienced a more unprofessional and disorganized interview process as the one at Xactly.

Question 1
How many accounts do you think a CSM should/could manage?

Interview
I had great interaction the first time. In the middle of the process, I had a family emergency occur and decided to remove myself from the process. I kept the recruiter in the loop and they encouraged me to apply again because I was a "Strong Candidate with great potential."
I asked if I would have to go through all the tests again, and they said no. I was told to email directly should anything pop up.
So, when the same role became available again, I emailed the recruiter I had been previously dealing with. She ignored my email, so I sent a message through LinkedIn. She responded by telling me to apply through the website, and 5 minutes after I applied, I got a rejection email.
I have been reading through the reviews and other candidates experiences - seems that this recruiting team has a very HIGH opinion of themselves, and truth is a value they don't understand.
If this is how their first impression is made, makes me glad I didn't get further or accept a role.
