I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Woodward (Loves Park, IL) in Sept 2019
Interview
Woodward used the STAR interview method which is a behavior question style. The interview was conducted by 3 different people asking questions. These people were the hiring manager, the director, and another project manager

What do you do when…

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Woodward (Niles, IL) in Feb 2026
Interview
Received an invite for a 30-min. phone interview about a week after applying. Basic questions were asked about employment history, experience, and skills. Didn’t hear back from the corp. recruiter until I had a calendar invite for an in person interview for a day and time that we did not discuss. I had to ask for a rescheduled time since it was too short of notice to make arrangements for. We were able to get something rescheduled. In person interview was on-site with a total of 3 folks, 1 who the role would report to and 2 others that the position would correspond with. The interview was for roughly an hour and I received a brief tour/overview of the manufacturing floor. They used the STAR method for interview questions. After the interview, I did not hear back from any one at the organization. The folks conducting the interview did not provide their business cards or anyway to contact them directly.

Question 1
Describe a time you had a difference of opinion and how you were able to convince the team to go with your view?
Star interview process. Just make things up to get a good score. HR dept can't judge previous work so no way to know who is best to hire. If you have an engineering degree is all they are worried about.
