The owner Elvis was very unprofessional and aggressive during the interview process. The meeting was held over Google Meets, it was supposed to run from 12:30pm-1pm. The interview barely crested 15 minutes because the owner refused to ask me any questions or get to know me, I had to prompt him to ask me questions and it was like pulling teeth. I was asked maybe 3 questions during the interview process and I was cut off numerous times during my answers. When it was my turn to ask questions, one of the questions I asked was "Why do you like working here?" To which the owner scoffed, visibly rolled his eyes and responded with "Well, I own the business".
Okay...? That still doesn't answer my question. If you cannot demonstrate why you find enjoyment/fulfillment in this job as the owner, why should I feel comfortable working for you? It seems that many employers forget interviews are a two way street. Very unprofessional. It's really no wonder why there's a revolving door of employees, I wouldn't want to work here. If anything good came of this experience, I'm at least thankful that I found out how toxic the work culture was now as opposed to six months or a year into employment.
