The whole process was professional while also maintaining a casual and friendly vibe. It usually starts with a phone screening, my case was a bit different because we couldn't properly sync for a phone discussion and by coincidence one of the events the CEO is regularly organising was hosted on the same day so we met there for our first (informal) conversation. It was mainly focused on presenting the company, the role and the specific skill set they were looking for, on my end I spoke about my experience, current job and described why and how I could see myself working with them as a Product Owner. The next step was a skill test, very practical and designed to reflect some of the main responsibilities of a PO at their company. It required planning, estimations, prioritisation, task management on some new features for a hypothetical product and a few tasks around client relationship management. After receiving a very positive feedback on my test results, they invited me to their headquarter and we discussed in more detail the role, their procedures, company policies and they very kindly introduced me to some of the team members. Following this meeting, I have been offered the position and I can confirm the professional, supportive and friendly attitude shown during the interview process is also reflected in the organisational culture on a daily basis.
