I applied online on the portal, then got an email a bit later asking me to fill out some paper work and discuss the position at the Admin office in the Joyce. Walked in, asked for the paper work, then sat there filling it out for a little while, and then they set me up with everything I needed to do to get cleared for the position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The only thing they asked me was if I had a degree (pay is $125 with a degree, vs $100 without I believe) and I said I do have a Bachelor's and to my knowledge they never did anything to confirm whether that was true or not. So.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Woburn Public Schools (Woburn, MA) in Apr 2012
Interview
Pretty easy process. Apply to district office and have all needed paperwork including degree and college work finished. If they would like to hire you they will call you back into the district office for an interview. If you are hired then you must get finger printed, drug and alcohol tested. Once those come back clean you are assumed a login and password to search for jobs. Certain schools are easier and more welcoming than other schools. You will find your favorite grades and schools and always try to get those jobs first. Also teachers can put your name into the system to be a perfected sub.
