After I submitted my cv, it took around 4 days to receive a response. 1st round is a video interview with a robot through the app. You are given 4 recorded questions and 3 emails to answer. During recording part you are only given around 1 minute to prepare and 3 minutes to answer. Only 1 attempt is allowed. For written part you'll have 20 minutes for each question. This part of the interview was really hard, so I advise to prepare each answer and practice it with camera in advance. After that, I was waiting for the feedback for 1 week. 2nd round is a Zoom interview with two team leads. My interviewers were from Budapest, while I applied in Tallinn. I think this might be to decrease the level of bias during application process. Overall, the interview was very relaxed and I didn't feel like I am judged. They only asked professional behavior questions, no weird ones or questions about how Wise works. If I didn't know what to answer, they let me to another question, there were no pressure. You really have to be yourself to pass the interview - and if your personality matches with the company, you will be hired. I also felt that honesty is very much appreciated during the interview, they don't want to put you in a box to fit the standard of a perfect employee. After the interview I received a follow-up email from HR next morning and they asked me to schedule a feedback call for next week. It was nervous to wait for it, but it turned out to be just a formality and I was offered a position. After you sign an offer, there is a background check for 3 week before you can start work, they check your previous criminal recording. I passed it with no problems even with problematic citizenship. In the end, I got a feeling that Wise provides equal opportunity for people disregarding their nationality, skin colour, passport etc. You can be yourself here with all of your cultural background, no need to hide anything during interview process/actual work.
