Spoke with recruiter and hiring manager. When interviewing both asked me if I was willing to relocate for a virtual job. I told them I would come in for regular meetings, but that posting a virtual job should allow me to work from anywhere.

Called by recruiter who was super judgmental starting out, said I had to “research TCP/IP and C++ since I don’t have that much experience” so why even call?? Interview with two old guys that started with an insult and never asked any technical questions. They said they wanted to revolutionize phone technology, whatever that means. Tried to maintain a respectful and positive attitude even then, but they didn’t have anything to offer and didn’t talk about the benefits of working there, had to ask about it. Denied a day later. Honestly didn’t even want to do the interview after that recruiter.

I was contacted by the company directly. Role reporting to CEO. Extremely poorly managed HR and hiring process. CEO stalled for weeks. 6 interviews. 7 weeks into the process. The team did not even recognize the job description forwarded by CEO through HR. Actual role description never confirmed. An attempt just to get industry contacts and information?
