I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati
Interview
The HR called first to schedule a phone interview with a guy from the medical device group. Two days later, the attorney called me for the phone interview, which last about 20-30 mins. We started with some general questions, like why you wanna do this, why interested in a patent agent job. Then, the interviewer asked a lot about my research background, basically was checking if I have the required experience in mechanical engineering, optics, electronics.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
To be honest, the questions were not that difficult. They were just checking my technical background.
Interview was conducted over zoom for 30 minutes. It was mostly about my experiences. I did not get an offer in the end. The recruiting team communicated with me over email.
Was recruited for months and upon passing the bar exam, I was dropped. Quite disappointing and sudden with no advance notice. The process was quite simple with a phone interview with an associate, later on it was indicated that the technology field was no longer being offered and basically goodluck in your job search. Just a very odd situation but found a much better position and people at a much bigger newyork firm so I'm ultimately glad that it didn't work out, I would have missed out on another opportunity and ended miserable there
