      NOC Technician Interview

      5 Sept 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Denver, CO
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at WildBlue (Denver, CO) in Sept 2010

      Interview

The interview process was very odd. Despite cover some details about the work you would be doing the managers and supervisors try to gauge your understand of networking fundamentals. Like the OSI Model, routing protocols, and troubleshooting techniques. When literally none of these skills are truly needed for the position, as everything has been written into procedures and posted in shard drives. But in light of all of that it was a very casual and fun interview. Remember to answer questions with confidence and don't be afraid to say you don't know something, just let them know you're eager to learn.
