while the military experience and skill-sets may transfer more directly to operations and personnel management jobs, I have loftier goals, personally and financially, than that sector will allow. It's good and worthwhile work but if I want to achieve C-level employment and compensation, sales is the place to be. I can earn more faster and learn about all facets of the company rather than specializing in just one.
