I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at White River Marine Group (Bolivar, MO) in Feb 2026
Interview
Great process, very welcoming and upfront with expectations and details. Completed weld test and shown around facility, then offered job upon completion of mouth swab drug test and background check.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Prior experience and examples of handling safety protocols and having issues with past employment.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at White River Marine Group
Interview
Very informal to the point of showing a lack of preparation and job requirements. Multiple interviews and travel for interviews, lead me along with promises for updates for months, each time delaying further. Ultimately, terrible interview process and communication with very little feedback after a long process.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at White River Marine Group in Feb 2022
Interview
I received a text from the co-hiring manager, not from HR, to schedule a phone interview. I conducted the phone interview, and was told that the next step would be an on-site interview. The position would require relocation, therefore the on-site interview would require me taking off work, which I did.
Just 2 business days before the scheduled on-site interview, I was told that it was being switched to a virtual interview (panel) for 30 minutes. Ok, I wasted a time off request, but ok, I get it.
The virtual interview was with 3 people, with the 4th invited person not showing up. I was bombarded with "quiz like" questions - which was rather insulting, but I played the game.
After the interview, they invited me on site (again), but this time was for real. They requested I bring 1 or 2 examples from my previous experience, along with a report/presentation from those event(s).
I responded with further clarification on the salary range, since they never answered my question previously, although I stated my salary need(s) from the beginning. Their "subjective" range to me was $20k less than my current salary. Again - no HR personnel was involved at all.
I withdrew myself from consideration.
