The interview process was pretty straightforward. The case was not difficult or had any maths. They cared about your thinking. Explain your thoughts and assumptions. They are super open to new ideas.

Why West Monroe? Why consulting? Explain a time you faced a difficult team situation, how did you solve it?
I'm a mechanical engineering major who applied to the 2026 Utilities Consulting Role. After doing more research, I found out it was definitely more business-focused than engineering-focused, so I struggled a bit to answer the why questions. Still figured it was worth a shot, though.

First there was a Human Resources Screening Interview. Then there was a Behavioral interview, Then 3 Back-to-Back Interviews that were 2 behavioral interviews (1:1) and one case. They got back to me very quickly after the final round.
I simply had an online interview. I had as much time as I wanted to think about the question and then my answer had to be no more than two minutes long.
