      Teller Interview

      24 Sept 2015

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wells Fargo (Los Angeles, CA)

      Interview

The interview process was two stages. First you'd get emailed a list of dates times and locations but they'd fill up quickly so either you pick or you wait for them to email again, but they might not.. and I'm not sure how often they'd have them but I was lucky enough to pick on the second round of times which was actually emailed a day or two after. I get to the Bank that I had selected, very friendly people just waiting for your arrival and they had sent me upstairs to a room that had a large table in the middle with multiple candidates sitting around. I think there ended up being 15+ people all interviewing at the same time with only one recruiter. She gave out a little slide show book which was very informing and helpful. It gave the questions she was going to ask so that when it came around to that time to give your answer she didn't have to repeat it and you could read it and think of what you wanted to say because you'd raise your hand when you were ready. She said it didn't matter if you went first or last, she just really wanted to know you and how you'd answer the question. So all went well, and I was lucky to get picked for the second and final round. Sadly this is where it went downhill for me because I thought the interviews went so good. We met at the HQ bank in downtown Los Angeles, around another table with some from the same interview and others who had selected different times and dates from the first round. They told us there would be two interviews and a role play and you'd be with a partner through it all, who was supposed to be your support buddy. There were about 20 managers from multiple banks around the Greater Los Angeles area that would be interviewing you, but you'd only end up meeting 6 because it would be you and your buddy and two interviews per station. Basically there isn't much else to explain about that but they informed us that we would no matter what hear back from them by the following Monday. I waited and waited all day to get an email or maybe even a phone call, even if it was a "no" but I heard nothing. From such a big company, especially during the time there was some big issue going on that I figured the least they would do is be on their A game. It was very sad to just keep waiting like that and not even knowing what the verdict was but since then I've moved past it. *This review is a couple months behind.

      Interview

Smooth interview just be genuine and transparent on goals and what values you can add to the company. Wells Fargo is big on customer service so they’ll ask you plenty of scenario style questions, relating to the customer experience and how you will act.

      Interview

A 30min interview lasted only half the time with interviewer sounding robotic reading from script. Lack of compassion and human side to it. Interviewer had attitude as if unhappy with the job.
