Difficult interview
Application
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wellmark in Sept 2021
Interview
First call was with the recruiter which went well. Second call was with the team lead.
The recruiter call went fine, and they booked the team lead call about a week later but neglected to provide me with the pre-interview materials they expected to go over during the interview.
Instead of being able to prepare properly, I was provided only a couple minutes to review the material before being quizzed on it.
Additionally, they noted that this would be one of 5 interviews, which seems excessive.

Question 1
Given a fictional dataset containing member data and another containing claims data, how would you join them together to identify individuals who have had x number of claims in the calendar year?
I was rejected after the final round at Wellmark. The first round was with the recruiter. The second round was with a team member which had a mix of behavioral and some technical questions. After this round, I was scheduled for 3 more interviews with different team leaders. Again a mixture of behavioral and technical questions. Honestly, 5 interviews seemed a bit excessive and many questions were repeated across the 5 interviews. I think I did decently well in the interviews and was able to answer their technical questions.
