Interview was an initial screen with a recruitment coordinator who was very pleasant to work with. Next process was a video conference with one of the potential managers. This round of the interview was an inquisition, where I spent a majority of the interview explaining general terms in strategy as there was some confusion on their end. The manager then left 1 minute for one question, and cut off the answer as they had to go, but seemed unsure of their response.
Overall, I think there was a big knowledge gap, which explains the need for this area to have strong candidates to grow. Unfortunately, the demeanor in which the interview was conducted was mostly lacking attentiveness, knowledge, or respect for the person interviewing. As the company, I would conduct interview development courses for those interviewing to better build their talent portfolio. After this encounter, I decided to remove myself from the candidacy based on inadequate experiences.
