Absolutely horrific experience. Not what one would (or at least, I) expect from a global company such as WeWork.
Reached out to hiring manager previously, had one conversation where he mentioned I was a "great fit" but then suddenly stopped responded to my emails.
Applied for a different role, spoke to recruiter and mentioned my previous conversation regarding the first role. She says there is definitely a fit there, let me check with the hiring team and get back to you. If they don't think it's a fit, we'll see how things move along with this role.
Fair enough.
It's been more than a few months after more than a few follow-ups and no response whatsoever. I understand there might not be a fit but what I don't understand is the lack of civility to let me know.
The lack of professionalism is staggering, reflected in particular by the callous attitude towards potential employees. I really wonder how their current employees are fairing, given this attitude of people who are the face of the company for people interested in working with the brand.
I think the WeWork brand is doing great stuff world over and I'd love to work with them.
However, that enthusiasm draws a blank when it comes to the India team. I hope things change and due respect is given to those who apply, research and demonstrate their interest in the company. If nothing else, respect everyone's time.
