I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in May 2018
Interview
One phone interview followed by an in person interview "scheduled" to be with five people. Five interviewers. One cancelled. Three were late in showing up. 1.75 hours between my first interview and second interview. Poor communication & poor scheduling. Eric Trickett was fantastic and an asset to your company. Other "recruiting managers" seemed clueless to even know what questions to ask. I sensed only one had read my resume in advance of my sitting across from them. With the exception of Eric, the interviewers seemed very disengaged and focused elsewhere. Possibly the worst interview experience of my life. Recruiter who prepped me for the in person prepared me for questions that never even came up. Then, after agreeing to pay for parking and lunch in advance, he said he was mistaken. The case study was ridiculously simple and the monitor didn't have a clue of the metrics, methods, processes, tools, and standards I brought to the case study. I will be a prime antisponsor of your brand and due to the complete waste of time, distracted interviewers (except Eric who was fantastic), and the post interview change of mind on parking and lunch being covered. When the sponsor called me during the 1.75 hour break between the first interview and the second, he asked if I was sticking around for the rest of the interviews. My greatest mistake was that I said "yes" and reaped the rewards.
