I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in May 2023
Interview
1. Recruiter Screening 2. Technical Assessment - SQL, Python, Case Study 3. Hiring Manager - Behavioral - Past experience(30mins) 4. Case Study (1hr 30mins) 5. Final Round - Two 30mins Behavioral interviews(Wayfair People's Principles), One 45min Case Study
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Case Study 1 - Analyse sales of an ice cream shop and provide recommendations. Case Study 2 - Analyze the impact of pricing strategy on a product and discuss its impact followed by recommendations backed by data. Case Study 3 - Discuss Supply Chain metrics
Pathetic. Interviewed with multiple teams, standard questions but I don’t know why they have such high standards for entry level roles. They use google sheets for analytics. Yeah, you read that right. The offer is very difficult to come by, utter waste of time for the salary they pay
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wayfair in Aug 2025
Interview
I applied and had a recruiter phonescreen. This recruiter was pinch-hitting from London for some Boston recruiters. I thought it went well, he said he thought it was a good match and he'd have an update for me in 24 hours. Unsurprisingly for Wayfair, there was no update. A day after I was supposed to get the update, I was rejected by an ATS form letter. Lack of respect, really.
It was structured and smooth. There's an online assessment, a recruiter phone screen, a hiring manager round, a case study interview (75 min), and a behavior panel interview (30 min*3). I think the process may vary depending on the role.
