I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in Oct 2018
Interview
Applied in September and got selected for a direct phone interview of about 30 mins. The 30 min phone interview was a basic walk through of my resume and a few follow up questions. Pretty basic and simple.
After the phone Interview I was called for a onsite interview which was taken by members of the marketing team. There were 2 interviews on the same day. 1 was again a walk through of my resume but a little thorough walk-through. They asked me about my projects, difficulty faced during the projects and difference of opinions among teammates and how consensus was reached. Also a question on SQL to see how familiar I am with SQL.
The second interview was a case study and a Mathematical sum

Question 1
1.Case study-- If Wayfair saw a 10% increase in its internet traffic in September 2018 as compared to September 2017 than what possible reasons could have aided this increase?
2. 1000 customers were sent catologs (Manufacturing cost 90 cents). 500 orders received and 25$ discount given on each order. what should be the min avg price each order at a profit margin of 20% to even out the cost of this marketing campaign
Multiple rounds including take home case. The last was a set of multiple interviews conducted with various department members, all of whom were engaged and nice. It was not an extremely intense interview process with any of them.
First, I had an initial call to discuss my experience and salary expectations. Then I was invited to a second stage where I had to complete a task and present my findings. The process was well-structured, and communication was clear throughout.
Interview process went smoothly, interviewers were super nice and seemed very open to helping future interns. I also got to learn a lot about the work culture there and projects that interns would be working on if hired.
