Interviewed by BI tech lead and a long term contactor.
Interview process contained a discussion around experience to date, competency questions, and TSQL and SQL server basic.
From the head BI tech lead perspective very professional but unfortunately I thought the contractor acted in a very unprofessional mannor digging into answers on basic interview questions such as why I wished to leave my current role and pursue better opportunities. It was like this on every answer I gave.
Another u professional moment was when I was stopped half way through my answer and told I was wrong and thinking of something else when explaining my answer about sql profiler, however I was then apologised to and told I was right before moving onto the next question and not letting me finish.
Overall based on my feedback which was not demonstrating working examples on certain scenarios , I felt was very unfair considering the question weren't asked in such manner i.e. what the difference between two technologies?, not explaining the difference between two technologies and where you have used them?
Additional feedback is they wanted someone with Data Warehouse experince, which when I applied for the role this wasn't required therefore the whole process was a waste of my time.
On a positive note I got some excellent feedback.
Hopefully this critical feedback will help you better your interview process in future and come across in a more professional manor.
