TLDR: Waltz Health thought it was okay to give me an offer and then reject me via automated email (which I never received) after I attempted to negotiate the terms of my offer. Very unprofessional.
I met with the hiring manager, then the engineering manager, and then the CTO. They waived the technical interview because they knew my skill level. I then received an offer for the position.
My circumstances changed and location was an issue. I reached out to start a negotiation and the engineering manager made it seem like remote work was possible. I then heard nothing for four days, reached out to ask for an update, and learned they were continuing interviews with other candidates.
After a month, I reached back out to inform them I was taking another position and to express my disappointment in the lack of communication. The response was that I should have received an automated rejection email and they were sorry I never got it.
The fact that Waltz thinks it's okay to reject someone via automated email after giving them an offer shows that they have no respect for interviewees and I assume this extends to employees. Given their terrible communication style, I have no idea how they work with the offshore engineering team. I also believe that Waltz isn't willing to negotiate offers, as they basically ghosted me after I tried to. I wouldn't waste your time interviewing with them.
