It was a great interview process. There was a board interview process and everyone went around the table and asked questions one at a time. Once the questions were done there was a hands on portion for the computer side.
I interviewed at Walker County Schools (Walkerton, AL)
Interview
Very quick and painless, they didn’t drag it out and I was working in less than 6 weeks. I would suggest staying in touch with them frequently though to speed it along.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Walker County Schools (Jasper, AL)
Interview
Apparently Walker County Schools is very clique-ish and cronyism-based, so I had no chance when, after I applied, I later found out the position had already been given to a young child of an older employee, despite his lack of any post-HS experience in field. So basically, they posted a job opening online and let resumes come in for weeks, knowing full-well, from the beginning, that no one external would get it.

Question 1
They just asked general questions about work experience in the initial talks, when you could start, etc. - nothing too in-depth or too generic to make one think the position was unavailable or not yours at that time.
