      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dallas, TX
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at WTW (Dallas, TX) in Oct 2022

      Interview

I met a recruiter at a career fair at my university. I was contacted a few weeks later to begin the interview process. The first stage was a recorded interview in which I was given several generic interview questions (tell us about a time when...) and asked to record a response within a 3 minute window. After these questions I was asked to play multiple games including a pattern recognition game reminiscent of IQ test pattern recognition problems and a mental math game with simple multiplication and addition questions. A few weeks later, I was contacted by an HR person to schedule 3 interviews, each with a different member of the team I would be working on. They were very quick to schedule the interviews, and we managed to find time within the week to meet. The interviews were very conversational and straightforward. We discussed my resume, relevant experience, and I answered some more generic interview questions. This was followed by a discussion of the role, the company, and the career opportunities with WTW. Everyone I spoke to was kind and enthusiastic and not in a forced way; I got the impression that these people did genuinely care about the interview process and hearing about my background. I was contacted within 1 business week with news of an offer. I scheduled a phone call with the talent acquisition worker and we discussed salary, benefits, and the terms of my employment. The team was willing to negotiate salary and gave me a generous window to make my decision. However, at the time of salary negotiations, I received a competing offer which was better suited for my career ambitions, and thus I declined the offer from WTW. Overall, I had a positive experience and felt like the interview was fair and adequate for the position.
