I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at WTW in Feb 2019
Interview
Relatively standard psychometric test, then an on-demand video interview where a number of text-based and video-based answers were requested.
If that stage is passed then you move onto solving a programming task, the programming task that was assigned was to read in values from a comma-delimited text file, perform some arithmetic on it and print the results into another file. The recruitment officer stated that any language was OK for the task although it did state on the brief that C# was preferred (I used Java). I had a couple of questions where I wanted to clarify some points which I e-mailed the recruitment officer but I didn't recieve any response. I submitted my code on time and gave some explanation as to how to compile it and how well everything worked. I didn't recieve a response to this and as the date for the next stage (an in-person assessment at their centre in Cambridge) has passed I would assume I have not progressed.
I think that the completion of a programming task is quite an innovative way to have a feeling of a candidate's programming knowledge as well as knowledge of more general concepts in Computer Science, but I would have appreciated an indication of an outcome. The question I asked was to clarify as to whether third-party APIs were permitted. I would have assumed somewhere as large as Willis Towers Watson would have a policy on this so I don't think expecting a response was unreasonable. Given the task was aimed at second-year students, a lot of which would not have much real-world programming experience, the content of it was quite difficult.

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at WTW in Mar 2023
Interview
The first stage is a screening process. After the screening, I participated in a virtual one-way interview in which I recorded my answers. Then, I was given a programming task that took me around 3h and it is due 48h after it is received. Lastly, I was invited to a final stage interview that contained situational and technical questions. This interview is strength-based and CV blind.
