Quick, decisive, and thorough! I submitted my application on a Friday morning and was called within 15 minutes by the global head of HR. We scheduled an in-person interview for Monday afternoon at their Chicago-area office. The in-person interview lasted for approximately two hours and included one of the HR generalist that will be reporting to this position.
The following day, I had an FaceTime interview with the head of U.S. projects. This conversation lasted approximately one hour.
Two days later, I had a Skype interview with the CEO of US operations and the head of US business development & engineering. This conversation last approximately 45 minutes.
In each of the meetings, the conversation centered around the importance of relationships within the organization. It was obvious that the leaders were more focused on finding someone who would integrate effectively with the team over a person with vast amounts of functional experience. The global head of HR did have some questions focused on actual HR skills, but overall, the organization presented a commitment to relationships and transparency.
I was extended an offer exactly one week after my initial online application. I countered the base salary which was accepted immediately.
