I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vyral Marketing
Interview
Pro:
- The writing assessment was paid, so it was an effective use of my time.
Cons:
- For the initial email, they did not give a proper interview schedule. They just said "Can you please call me at (number)."
- The interviewer was 30 minutes late to our phone interview.
- The next interview happened 3 weeks after the initial call so it was a long wait. They initially wanted me to have it at 4AM but I was able to request for an earlier time. I understand that the position will be in the night shift so I should be okay with 4AM, but I was still an applicant and it would be nice if they found a time that would be mutually okay for both parties. Even 10PM or 11PM will do (which I believe is also within their shift) but 2AM is the best they could give me.
- They sent me the wrong link for the paid assessment at first.
- On the day I got the job offer, I got two emails: one job offer and one REJECTION EMAIL. How can you accept and reject me at the same time? When I asked them to clarify, they said the rejection email was a mistake and I should disregard it.
While I appreciate the offer, the lack of professionalism is a huge red flag.
I applied online. I interviewed at Vyral Marketing (Omaha, NE) in Oct 2015
Interview
Informal. I came in with a physical portfolio to highlight my work rather than just send some links, which seemed to win them over, because the interviewer handed it off to the rest of employees along with my resume.
