Voyado Backend Developer interview questions

The process took 2 months from application to final call. Initial interview with the recruiter for 30-45 minutes and asked about my previous employment, the projects I have worked on and my competence on their tech stack. The second round is with SVP and engineering manager. They mainly asked about my previous projects and 4 competency-based questions. It went on for an hour. Third round is take home test to develop a webapp to return number of hits for each in a phrase using at least two search services. Was given enough time to submit the solution. Fourth round is at the Lund office to have the interview questions from the submitted solution. It was scheduled for 1 hour and discussed the solution and faced other tech questions. I have received the update after 3 days saying they cannot proceed with me as they are expecting someone with more code quality. I have accepted their decision. However, I am not sure why they called me for the 4th round if they are not satisfied with my solutions first place. I have answered that my tech check can be improved further in exception handling when I was asked "what do you improve in the solution if you were given more time?". During the call to reject my profile, they repeated my answer to me as a feedback. They could have informed me the same after the tech check and spared me 6 hours of travel, and a day off.
