Not professional behavior from the interview panel especially on the technical part of it. No empathy. They didn't give an insight how the interview went.
The hr interview was very easy and the typical screening process.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vodafone in Apr 2025
Interview
Initial call with recruiter, online psychometric testing, then two separate (video based) interviews.
Considerable communication and clear instruction throughout process. Very easy to follow and highly transparent.
Initial call - recruiter calls to establish interest, CV background, expectations of salary, right to work etc.
Psychometric testing - online test (1 hour) aligned to values and culture fit. No prep required. No technical questions or test.
First stage video - peer interview based on situational and behavioral questions aligned to Vodafone Values. These are taken from a pool of set questions that are part of a competency matrix aligned to the role's grade. Tone was relaxed and friendly although through and structured.
(The expected behaviors / competencies are publicly listed and examples of competency at each grade are available from the Vodafone careers website and interview prep email directs candidates towards them.)
Feedback provided by recruiter after first interview. Then booked in 2nd stage interview.
Second stage - 15min presentation on topic of their choice (aligned to role) and 45min panel interview with the line managers and one head of function.
Presentation brief was just the topic / title - contents left up the the interviewees discretion. Interview portion was more open ended, technical questions, more in depth examination of previous roles, examined understanding of supporting practices and adjacent areas, examined understanding of the organization from engineering and business practices perspective.
General minor questions on personal styles and preferences for culture fit. Tone was direct and professional. Questions very through and probing.
