      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Vitality (Stockport, England) in Mar 2026

      Interview

I had a very positive initial telephone interview with Toni, who was professional, polite, and took the time to understand my experience. It felt as though my values aligned well with those of the company, and I was clearly guided through what to expect in the next stage. However, my experience at the next stage did not fully reflect what had been outlined. The virtual interview consisted of a small number of questions and felt inconsistent with the process that had been described beforehand. During the interview, I found some of the questioning to be repetitive and lacking additional context when I asked for clarification. As someone who is autistic, clear and structured communication is particularly important, and I felt this was not fully considered during the process. Despite this, I provided clear and direct answers to the questions asked. At the end of the interview, I asked whether there was anything further I could do to strengthen my application and was advised that I had interviewed well. Unfortunately, I was not successful in my application and did not receive detailed feedback following the decision. While I appreciate the opportunity, more transparency and consistency in the process would improve the overall candidate experience. Given Vitality’s strong emphasis on its values, I would also expect these to be consistently reflected throughout the interview process and by those representing the business.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I was asked a series of competency and compliance-based questions that appeared to be part of a fixed interview structure.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for your positive comments about the initial conversation with Toni. We’re sorry to hear that the later interview stage did not meet your expectations of what had been outlined. Clear and structured communication is important to us, and we recognise how essential this is for ensuring an inclusive and supportive experience for all candidates. We'll be sure to feed your comments back to support further clarification during this process. Thank you again for your openness, and we wish you every success in the future.
