I applied to the position in late October, and then completed a one-way video interview. I was invited for a competency interview in late January, and subsequently a final technical interview in mid February (for which I was given 2 weeks to prepare). The competency interview involved a brief discussion the role, workplace attitude (following an online 'quiz') and a few simple tasks. The technical interview required giving three 5-minute presentations, which were followed by questions. The interviews felt appropriate for the role, and it was clear how the role was structured. The process was professional but with a personal touch, the recruitment advisor Owen Pape provided supportive information and guidance throughout. I felt this was a uniquely positive aspect of the recruitment process, compared to other companies.

Ask me about my background, some behavioural questions (30 mins), 5 mathematic problems (30 mins). Should write the answers of the math questions on the paper then send the image to them. The interviewers are very nice.

Pretty friendly, questions not too hard in the field of optics and some basic math. More behavioural questions for first round (some math too), mainly technical optics questions for second round.
