Interview
A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn about an hourly temp position with the potential to become full-time. I went through six interviews with various team members. While I ultimately wasn’t offered the role, everyone I interacted with was kind, professional, and communicative—HR did a great job keeping me informed throughout the process.
That said, six interviews felt a bit excessive for a temporary position, and not receiving an offer after that level of time and effort was disappointing. It felt like a lot for what the role entailed. Unfortunately, this seems to reflect the current state of the job market, where even short-term or contract roles can involve a lengthy process.

Interview
I recently went through the interview process at Vir Biotechnology, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The process was rescheduled and ultimately canceled, which gave the impression that candidate time and effort were not fully valued.
While I understand that hiring needs can shift and timelines can be tight, professionalism and respect for candidates should remain a priority. A well-run interview process reflects a company’s culture and values, and in this case, the lack of consideration left a negative impression. Candidates invest significant time preparing for opportunities, and it would be beneficial for Vir to approach hiring with more thoughtfulness and transparency.
I hope they improve their candidate experience in the future.

Interview
The interview process started with HR and the hiring manager, followed by an onsite interview. The team was really nice, About two weeks later, I was contacted to schedule a phone call for five days later. I was hopeful for an offer, but unexpectedly, I was informed that they had moved forward with another candidate. It is odd— it would have been better if I had received an email or a quick call instead, so I wouldn't have had to wait and get my hopes up.
